In Maitland, FL, making the most of your kitchen space is crucial, especially when working with a budget. At Javiham Kitchens, we focus on optimizing your existing kitchen layout. This approach includes rearranging cabinets and appliances to create a more open, functional area. By doing so, we can enhance the kitchen’s flow and usability without major structural changes, which keeps costs down.
Adding smart storage solutions is another way to make your kitchen more efficient. We recommend options like pull-out drawers, corner cabinets, and vertical dividers. These choices help you use every inch of space effectively, keeping your kitchen tidy and organized. Open shelving is also a great idea, as it adds a modern touch and keeps everyday items within easy reach.
Lastly, selecting the right furniture can transform your kitchen’s look and functionality. We suggest slim, multipurpose furniture, like foldable tables or chairs, which save space and adapt to different needs. A kitchen island that doubles as a dining area is also a popular choice in Maitland, FL. It provides extra workspace and a place for family and friends to gather.
Choosing the right materials is a vital part of kitchen renovation in Maitland, FL, especially when sticking to a budget. At Javiham Kitchens, we help you find durable, stylish, and affordable options. For countertops, laminates are a great choice. They look like natural stone or wood but are much more budget-friendly and easy to maintain, perfect for busy kitchens in Orange County.
When it comes to cabinetry, consider refacing existing cabinets or choosing standard models that can be customized. A new paint job or updated hardware can significantly change their appearance at a lower cost than buying new ones. For flooring, luxury vinyl tile (LVT) is an excellent option. It resembles hardwood or ceramic tiles but is more affordable and easier to maintain.
A good backsplash can also elevate your kitchen’s look without a big investment. Options like ceramic tiles, glass mosaics, or peel-and-stick tiles are cost-effective and can add a lot of character to your space. At Javiham Kitchens, we encourage you to use the backsplash as a creative space to reflect your personal style. Reach out to 407-759-7572 to learn more!

Maitland is one of the oldest incorporated suburban municipalities in central Florida. The area was previously inhabited by Timucuan Native Americans. The town was originally named for a nearby Lake, which honored Captain William Seton Maitland, who fought in the Second Seminole Indian War, and was slain in the battle of Wahoo Swamp. A small military outpost was built in 1838 on the western shore of Lake Fumecheliga (later Lake Maitland) during the Second Seminole War. After the Civil War, new residents arrived in the area. Christopher Columbus Beasley, perhaps the first permanent settler, arrived at Lake Maitland in 1871. A post office opened on January 2 of the next year and operated in his home. Around this post office, a small town grew. In the closing decades of the nineteenth century the area was put into extensive citrus production.A street corner in Lake Maitland, c. 1926
Lake Maitland was incorporated as a town in 1885, the third such town in Orange County to do so. In its infancy, Lake Maitland was often characterized as a rural village, with streets lined with large oak trees planted by early town aldermen. However, the old town began to rapidly modernize as Orlando’s suburban sprawl reached the town in the mid 1920s.
During this period the town grew rapidly as new houses and roads were built. In 1959, Maitland was incorporated as a city.Learn more about Maitland.
